Meet former pro hockey player, Jay Mazur. John “Jay” Mazur grew up in Ontario, Canada. At the University of Maine, Jay played hockey for the Black Bears. Signing on with the Vancouver Canucks shortly after college, he continued to play professional hockey with various teams for fourteen years. In that time, Jay traveled and moved often throughout the United States and Europe. Following his experiences in the NHL, Jay landed in Scarborough, Maine in 1996. In 2003, He began teaching and coaching hockey at Scarborough High School, taking the Red Storm to the Western Maine Finals two years in a row.
Jay brings a wealth of knowledge with him to the real estate business. As a result of his profession, Jay has bought and sold several homes during fourteen years of travel and relocation. As a representative for the NHL players’ union, he brings tremendous experience in dealing with difficult negotiations under strict deadlines, all crucial in the real estate world. Most importantly, he understands how necessary it is for people to have a dependable person they can count on to handle all of the details involved with buying or selling a home.
